- Description:In the coming decades, technological changes such as Artificial Intelligence, 5G, the development of zero carbon, climate change, the aging of the population, new social values, the knowledge economy and future mobility models will change the way that cities are designed and the way in which citizens relate to their metropolis. With this transformation, Barcelona Global wants to (re)think about the future of Barcelona and that of its metropolitan region.Goals:The Barcelona Global Summit: Sustainable Urban Planning aims to build the map of Greater Barcelona in 2050 through key metropolitan projects that react to the changing needs of society, the economy and the planet. We want to imagine how future generations will live, raising the main challenges they face, highlighting urban plans examples that point in the right direction, and show international experiences that can be inspiring (to the world and the citizens) through a television documentary transmitted internationally. We will involve the heads of current urban projects, experts in technology, science, Smart Cities, culture, entrepreneurship and other relevant sectors and partners through the following activities:- Visits to the great urban potential of the metropolis.- Urban innovation workshops and work sessions with partners, public agencies and territorial entities.- Breakfasts with the responsible for the urban projects that are currently being executed. We will also have the involvement of a Committee of experts to help us define the themes of the documentary, as well as an International Committee with great names that will advise us by taking examples of success from other global cities.Members of this project:Private ConsultantClos Matheu, Joan Private Consultant
