What is ONSECUR?
ONSECUR designs, installs, and maintains high security systems for companies and private individuals.
When was it founded?
Founded in 1994, the company started out life as a small store in Caspe Street that belonged to the historic French multinational Fitchet-Bauche. In 2014, I acquired this small neighborhood business, left the French group, changed the company name to ONSECUR, and began to specialize in designing maximum security solutions. I have been in charge of the business since then.
What do you like most about your work?
The feeling that we are helping companies and families to feel safer and more at ease.
And what do you like least?
There is nothing I don't like. I enjoy every day and meeting all the daily challenges.
What do you think your company excels at?
We are particularly good at innovating and adapting to circumstances. Manufacturers say of us that no one is so committed to applying technology to our daily work. We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our services, adapting quickly to changes in the market, and offering effective, state-of-the art, customized solutions to every customer.
What is your main challenge?
Identifying and taking advantage of opportunities for growth, rapidly adapting our strategies to market changes, and ensuring that we meet our customers’ needs by helping them to feel secure.
Where is your company located? Why did you choose that location?
ONSECUR's offices are located in Gala Placidia, close to the center of Barcelona. We were looking for a lively central location which offered good transport connections for our team.
What do you like most about the neighborhood?
It is a vibrant neighborhood with all kinds of different opportunities.
How important is Barcelona for your company?
The company was founded in Barcelona, our HQ is here, and we have deep roots in the city.
Which city would you compare Barcelona to?
Barcelona is difficult to compare. It is a unique city that has huge potential.
What form of urban model should Barcelona adopt?
Its own. Instead of imitating other cities Barcelona should focus on building on its own strengths.
What best practices from other cities would you like Barcelona to adopt?
Any practice that respects the city in all its manifestations and promotes economic, social and cultural activity.
What do you ask of the Barcelona of the future?
To attract an increasing number of young talented professionals in order to enable SMEs to grow and thrive. Barcelona is a magnificent place to live; we must fill it with young people who are well-trained, hard-working, committed, and have strongly-held values...
