Daniel Rodan, doctoral Candidate in Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), highlights, the importance of a commitment to science and research in his article in La Vanguardia The pandemic, he says, "shows us once again that an investment in science and research is an investment in the future; Barcelona , without a doubt, is a city of the future".
To explain what he means, he refers to the MIT university campus, a "mini-city" that has tackled the virus "with an analytical and science-based approach", focusing on mass testing of campus members and collaboration between teams working on data integration, tracking, health, operations, data analysis and modelling.
