Barcelona could learn much from the principle of "Kaizen", by Jorge Calvo

Tokyo is an extraordinary example of the ability of people to adapt and to live together in harmony with others. “What is essential is their adherence to the principle of 'kaizen', a fundamental pillar of Japanese society, which in its essence means continuous improvement,” stresses Jorge Calvo.

He believes that Barcelona can learn valuable lessons from the Japanese capital. "Adopting the principle of 'kaizen' could lead to a renewed emphasis on constant learning and improvement in all aspects of social and civic life,” says Jorge Calvo. He points out that “like Tokyo, Barcelona could benefit from greater investment in technology and innovation” to boost its economy and stay at the forefront of technological developments.
