Barcelona Global and the Barcelona City Council will promote Barcelona & Partners
The president of Barcelona Global, Aurora Catà, and the first deputy mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, signed yesterday, 8th of September, the collaboration protocol to impulse this program about investment attraction and creation of new jobs in the city.
The project has a technical office that is managed by Agustí Cordón, which has already started working on setting the priorities, the first projects, the strategy and the development of the business plan. Agustí Cordón is former general director of Fira de Barcelona, former vice-president of the Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation and managing director of Grupo Zeta until June 2019.
Barcelona & Partners has the support and interest of companies as Cuatrecasas, AGBAR, Banco Sabadell, Fundació Puig, Inmobiliaria Colonial and Accenture. Enterprises that have not hesitated to commit time and resources to this project and that we hope that son they will be more.
The program will work to identify those economics sectors, institutions, enterprises, markets, territories and investors that are susceptible to develop its activities in Barcelona, and we will develop strategies and programs to attract them, as well as we will carry out concrete projects about attraction and implementation of economic activity transforming the territory in Barcelona.
Barcelona is a city with a great potential of economic development that, more than ever, needs to go out into the world in a organised and efficient way to attract new economic activity able to transform the city and create more and better jobs. The signature of the protocol with the city council and the plans to work together in the upcoming months are the best way to start the course with a project that needs the implication of the companies, the best professionals and the public administration.
