The challenge for a metropolitan and sustainable mobility
Barcelona Global presented yesterday 1st of October at Casa SEAT The challenge of metropolitan and sustainable mobility, a report that lays the foundations for a new model of mobility and proposes a public-private and metropolitan pact for sustainable, efficient and accessible mobility that guarantees the health of its citizens and favours the economic and urban development of Greater Barcelona.
The challenge of metropolitan and sustainable mobility has been developed by Barcelona Global and coordinated together with Anteverti, Seat, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), Saba, Fundación Repsol, RACC, ISGlobal, Autopistas Abertis and Renfe. In addition, more than sixty partners and experts in the sector participated in the different sessions of the Barcelona Global Challenge in mobility.
The report identifies 9 consensuses that make it possible to outline the bases of a great pact for metropolitan mobility and develops 15 specific key proposals for the mobility of Greater Barcelona.
In the presentation, the association has had the participation of various experts such as Josep Martínez Vila (Saba), Pilar Conesa (Anteverti), Josep Mateu (RACC), Xavier Serra (Autopistas Abertis), Ricard Font (FGC) and Rosa Alarcón, councillor for mobility of the Barcelona City Council.
In addition, Barcelona Global has already shared the document with the Secretary General of Transport and Mobility of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, María José Rallo, and we are organising meetings with the Barcelona City Council, the Catalan Government and the other competent institutions.
