We introduce to the High Commissioner for Spain Entrepreneurial Nation, Francisco Polo, the conclusions of the Scale-Up Monitor
Today we have presented the results of the second edition of the Barcelona Global Scale-Up Monitor 2021 to the High Commissioner for Spain Entrepreneurial Nation, Francisco Polo.
The study, carried out in collaboration with CaixaBank, through DayOne, and with the methodological support of IESE Business School, indicates that Barcelona's starting is good. The entrepreneurial ecosystem considers that Barcelona is a good location to start a business and that it has a good quality of life. However, taxation continues to be an obstacle to investment, the administration is not seen as a facilitator of entrepreneurial initiative, and difficulties in accessing investment and attracting talent are perceived as obstacles to the development of the ecosystem.
Along with the High Commissioner, the presentation was attended by the Director of Retail, Customer Experience & Day by Day of CaixaBank, Jordi Nicolau; the president of Barcelona Global, Aurora Catà; the CEO of the association, Mateu Hernández; and Cristina H. Valiñani, director of projects at Barcelona Global. In addition, some thirty actors from the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Barcelona have accompanied us.
