We start the 1st edition of the Barcelona 2040

This Tuesday June 30 we start the first edition of Barcelona 2040, a leadership and city-driven program, exclusively aimed at young people from 26 to 35 years, professionally active and with experience from 5 to 8 years and interest and commitment to the future of the city of Barcelona.

The first edition with the participation of 25 young talents takes place between June 2020 and February 2021. During this period, the participants will know Barcelona from all areas through 9 sessions and visits to companies and institutions of different sectors and 9 conversations with the main stakeholders of these sectors and of the city (business, science, culture, knowledge, sports, industry, journalism, and political opinion-leaders). In addition, the participants will work on two challenges of the city and develop proposals for the future through two dynamics organized by Imagine, a disruptive innovation program driven by Xavier Verdaguer, member of Barcelona Global.

During the introductory session that took place this Tuesday, June 30, at the headquarters of McCann WorldGroup Barcelona Pau Guardans, President of Barcelona Global, Mateu Hernández, CEO of Barcelona Global; Anna Marquès, Corporate and Member Relations Director of Barcelona Global; Enric Jové, CEO of McCann Worldgroup Barcelona; Andreu Plaza, Senior Advisor to Banco Santander SA, and Board Member of Santander Portugal, Uruguay and Santander Consumer Finance; and Xavier Verdaguer, Founder of Imagine Creativity Center presented to participants the program, challenges of Barcelona and the role of Barcelona Global.
